Winning Competitive Funding Opportunities to Better Maternal Health

Shoreline has provided strategic grant consulting services for its longtime client, the Community Health Center of Richmond (CHCR), an FQHC with four sites in high-need sections of Staten Island, New York. As a result of working with Shoreline, CHCR has won competitive funding opportunities to reduce maternal morbidity and mortality while improving health equity. CHCR’s maternal and child health programs focus on comprehensive case management for inter-conception, prenatal, and post-partum phases, considering it the “fourth trimester” of pregnancy. Focus areas include reducing transportation barriers to care, utilizing a model of postpartum doula care for weekly check-ins with new mothers, and integrating a 2nd postpartum visit into the care plan.

The Expanded Medical Capacity grant they wrote for us scored a 94 out of 100 possible points, and the Dental Expansion grant they wrote scored a 99.

We worked with Shoreline Health Solutions to complete our policy and procedure manual, which is approximately 1,000 pages. They provided excellent quality work that demonstrated their strong command of the subject matter.
